In the Community: New CVI Boards & Commissions Fellows

Blog Home

We are thrilled to announce that Shelby Bills, CEO of Graeber & Company, and Courtney Doss, Director of Operations and Marketing, have successfully graduated from the Conservation Voters for Idaho (CVI) Education Fund’s Boards & Commissions Fellowship!

What Is the CVI Boards & Commissions Fellowship?

The CVI Boards & Commissions Fellowship is a leadership development program focused on increasing representation of underrepresented communities in Idaho’s public boards and commissions. It provides fellows with:

  • Monthly trainings on civic leadership, policy, and conservation issues.
  • One‑on‑one mentorships to guide them in navigating how decisions are made in public bodies.
  • Hands‑on experience with parliamentary procedure, governance processes, and working with public boards (e.g. Planning & Zoning, Parks & Recreation).

Its mission is to build a democracy that truly reflects Idaho’s diversity by empowering women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those with disabilities to serve their communities.

A Proud Tradition at Graeber & Company

Gabby Marcantonio, Courtney Doss, Shelby Bills and Sydney Osborn. Graduates of the CVI Boards and Commissions Fellowship. Representing the leadership team of Graeber & Company in Boise, Idaho.

Last year, our very own Sydney Osborne, General Manager, and Gabby Marcantonio, Master Esthetician, graduated from the same Fellowship. Since then, they’ve stepped into multiple boards, giving back to our community and bringing positive change. Their example has

inspired us all, and now Shelby and Courtney are following in their footsteps with new skills, fresh perspectives, and a commitment to civic service.

What This Means for Our Community

With Shelby and Courtney now Fellowship graduates, Graeber & Company is more engaged than ever in supporting leadership that reflects all of Idaho. We look forward to seeing:

  • How Shelby and Courtney will use their new knowledge in conservation policy and public governance to contribute to local boards & commissions.
  • Their leadership in amplifying voices from underrepresented communities.
  • The positive changes they will help shape. Whether through policy, advocacy, planning, or hands‑on projects.

Congratulations, Shelby & Courtney!

We couldn’t be more proud. Congratulations to you both on this achievement. Your dedication to growth, service, and leadership is inspiring. We can’t wait to see all the ways you’ll contribute, enrich, and uplift our communities.
